Sunshine Rice

Hot sauce and almonds make this rice dish explode with flavor. Only one pot is needed making this an easy and delicious side dish.

Directions

  1. Wash hands with soap and water.
  2. Heat oil in medium saucepan.
  3. Add celery and onions and saute until tender, about 10 minutes.
  4. Add water, orange and lemon juice, and hot sauce.
  5. Bring to a boil.
  6. Stir in rice and bring back to a boil.
  7. Let stand covered until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
  8. Stir in almonds.
  9. Serve immediately as a side dish for a fish entree.
