Tomato N' Cheese Pasta

Pasta and tomato sauce are topped with cheese and cooked in the oven. Double this recipe for a family of 4. Add a tossed salad for a hearty meal.

Directions

  1. Wash hands with soap and water.
  2. Cook pasta according to package directions; drain.
  3. In a small saucepan, cook onion and garlic in oil until tender.
  4. Stir in tomatoes, basil, oregano, sugar, and pepper.
  5. Bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce heat.
  7. Simmer uncovered for 15 minutes.
  8. Add pasta to sauce.
  9. Transfer to a greased 1-quart baking dish.
  10. Top with cheeses.
  11. Bake, uncovered at 375 °F for 10 to 15 minutes or until cheese is melted.
