Shepherd's Pie

This shepherd's pie recipe is a twist on the classic comfort food. Using frozen veggies helps you get it on the dinner table quickly.

Directions

  1. Wash hands with soap and water.
  2. Place diced potatoes in saucepan.
  3. Cover with water and bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer (about 15 minutes).
  5. Drain potatoes and mash.
  6. Stir in milk and set aside.
  7. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Brown turkey in a large skillet.
  8. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  9. Add vegetables and broth.
  10. Bring to a slow boil.
  11. Spoon vegetable-meat mixture into an 8-inch square baking dish.
  12. Spread potatoes over mixture.
  13. Bake 25 minutes.
  14. Serve hot.
  15. Garnish with shredded cheese (optional).
